Autumn is here, and as temperatures cool here in Southern California, most people are taking advantage of the chance to get their bikes fully serviced and prepared for a long winter full of riding and adventures.
In the shop - we're turning up the heat - metaphorically speaking, as we've seen the largest number of big bikes to date! We're excited to see this segment of the sport growing, and MJR is here to help riders keep their adventure motorcycles going strong.
Nobody wants to deal with serious mechanical failures during a long back-country route, and so we put these machines through our rigorous check-in and scrutineering process to ensure preventative maintenance intervals are being met. Right now, most of our customers KTM 790/890 ADV-R models are getting leak-down tests, valve adjustments, and fresh tires while other customers are doing complete custom builds, and rebuilds on their bikes!
Adventure bikes are far more complex in construction than your average enduro, or dual-sport bike so we often are tapped by customers to install new aftermarket parts. While we have these bikes apart we inspect every detail, and methodically check everything from skid plates to airbox and fuel lines as even simple maintenance can be a lengthy and complicated task.
